About the game

Remember the schoolyard? Everyone calls a number, everyone throws out their fingers, and whoever called the total wins. Then the loser holds out their hands for the slap. After Round 1 takes that game and gives it a home online, with the same rules, the same trash talk and the same sting of a slap, but now you can play your people from anywhere. It looks simple, but it's a mind game. Nobody can show the same number of fingers twice in a row, so every round you know at least one move your opponent can't make. Read their habits, count the total, pick your number, and lay your fingers before the timer runs out. What inspired it After Round 1 grew out of Nigerian play culture: the finger counting at break time, the "one more round" energy, the friendly slaps and bragging rights. The look and sound come from home too, with adire and kente patterns, Lagos-night colours and an afrobeat soundtrack. The hands you collect celebrate crafts from all six geopolitical zones. The gods of Story Mode are original characters, written in the spirit of Nigerian folktales. Features Call your number, lay your fingers. Fast rounds against one friend or a full table. The board grows with the number of players: 0–10 for two, up to 0–40 for eight. The Slap Duel. Lose the match and you take the slap.
